Early Life
& Education
Born and raised in an environment that encouraged his curiosity for understanding how things work, Amrit pursued his passion for science and technology at the University of Birmingham, where he earned a First Class Honours degree in Chemistry and a PhD in Chemical Engineering. His research on fuel cell technology laid the foundations for his entrepreneurial journey in a bid to positively impact climate change.
Career Highlights
Amrit’s professional journey is marked by his co-founding of Aceleron, a pioneering company in energy storage that is revolutionising how we utilise and conserve power.
Under his leadership, Aceleron developed innovative, circular economy approaches to battery design and deployment, drastically reducing environmental impact and enhancing sustainability.
He successfully exited Aceleron following its sale to ADVIK at the start of 2024 and he is now in the process of building his second venture in Artificial Intelligence, Gauge19.
His career transitioned from hands-on engineering to strategic leadership as he embraced roles such as a Non-Executive Director for impactful organisations and a mentor for up-and-coming entrepreneurs at various incubators.
Amrit has been recognised by Forbes 30 Under 30, the Rolex Awards finalist, and the prestigious Hawley Award for Engineering Innovation.
