About Amrit

“A society grows great when old men plant trees in whose shade they shall never sit.” - Greek Proverb

Dr Amrit Chandan builds durable systems that outlast their creators. He is the CEO of Lorefully, where he is developing human-centred AI to turn human expertise into actionable intelligence.

A second-time founder (Aceleron, exit 2024), he speaks and writes on judgement, trade-offs, and the inner work behind enduring leadership, including his forthcoming book, The Ithaca Paradox.

Early Life
& Education

Born and raised in an environment that encouraged his curiosity for understanding how things work, Amrit pursued his passion for science and technology at the University of Birmingham, where he earned a First Class Honours degree in Chemistry and a PhD in Chemical Engineering. His research on fuel cell technology laid the foundations for his entrepreneurial journey in a bid to positively impact climate change.

Career Highlights

Recognised by Forbes 30 Under 30, a Rolex Awards finalist, and winner of the Hawley Award for Engineering Innovation.

Amrit co-founded Aceleron, a circular battery innovator, and took it from early invention through commercial scale, working across product, partnerships, and fundraising. He led the company through its acquisition by ADVIK in 2024, after building a model rooted in circular economy principles and real-world deployment.

He now builds Lorefully, applying human-centred AI to capture, structure, and amplify human expertise into usable insights. The thread across his work is durability: designing systems, decisions, and narratives that outlast the individuals who created them.

Alongside his CEO role, Amrit supports a small number of founders and organisations through selective board and advisory work, typically where judgement, clarity, and execution are crucial. He is writing The Ithaca Paradox on systems thinking, trade-offs, and the inner work behind enduring leadership.

The Ithaca Framework

Amrit combines systems thinking with practical judgement: evidence, values, and trade-offs in the open. The Ithaca Framework is the method he uses to help leaders make decisions they can defend and live with long after the meeting ends. It is data-aware, not data-blind: numbers matter, but so do context and consequences.

Personal Interests

Outside work, Amrit reads fiction, creates abstract art through code, and plays Indian classical music. He is also involved in his local community through mentorship and community projects.
